Parents & Friends

The Parents & Friends Association is an important part of the Apollo Parkways Primary School community. The PFA consists of volunteer parents, grandparents and carers of the children of the school. Their purpose is to provide and promote a social contact point for the school community whilst endeavouring to stimulate interest in the school and school events.

Their annual calendar includes a range of events that strengthen the link between the school and home. One of their long-standing contributions has been the organization of the Mother’s and Father’s day stalls. Here the committee provide inexpensive gifts for children to purchase at school. The work of the PFA helps to ensure that these days are special for children and parents alike.

The PFA are strong supporters of school highlight events such as the school Family Disco and the school Production along with organising many of the schools annual fundraising activities.

The PFA meet regularly in the school community centre in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.  Preschool children are most welcome to attend any PFA gathering.  There are toys and drawing materials to keep them entertained and tea and coffee for the adults.  It's a wonderful environment and opportunity for parents/carers to meet others at the school and a great way to be involved in the school community.  Parents can contact the school PFA via email: appspfa@gmail.com or contact our President Sally Boyd on 0409 868 980.
