Overview
>The school has excellent facilities and resources which provide opportunities for all students to experience a comprehensive curriculum in a caring, yet challenging atmosphere. A major building program completed in 2011 has provided many state of the art facilities including: a purpose built arts building for art and music programs, a well stocked library, a full size basketball stadium for physical education & sport, and a community centre that supports Out of School Hours Care and other school and community events. Whilst the emphasis is placed on literacy and numeracy, the curriculum at Apollo Parkways also features specialist programs in Performing Arts (music), Visual Arts, Library, Physical Education & Sport and LOTE (Italian). Additional assistance programs are provided to those students with special needs. An enrichment program, The Pegasus Program, is offered to highly capable and talented students.

The staff’s desire for our school to be characterised by enthusiasm, hard work, success and pride has resulted in Apollo Parkways Primary School being considered a good place to work. The school has attracted, developed and retained an excellent staff. The school’s policy towards personal development, helping people to reach their full potential, is considered not only in connection to the students but also towards enhancing the talents of the staff responsible for educating these students.
Apollo Parkways has a fine history of excellence and innovation with regard to ICT. All classrooms offer a wide range of computers and technologies to support the curriculum and establishing the use of ICT as a regular part of all learning. Our Grade 5 & 6 classrooms operate with a 1:1 iPad program, supporting the greater personalisation of the learning. Our implementation of this iPad program stands as a model for other schools many of whom have visited to witness the work of our students and teachers.
